Wow!. This place is kind of tucked away all by itself just outside the MacArthur Center area of Norfolk, but it’s worth venturing to even if you don’t live nearby. The menu changes from time to time. I started off with a very tasty lentil soup. For my main course I had the Scallops Duo, and these were the best scallops I’ve ever had. Two of them were breaded and fried and the other two were seared with no breading. Both types were far better than any typical scallops at a fried seafood restaurant but the seared scallops were a real treat. The coconut farro (some kind of grain, evidently) went really well with it too. Nouvelle is a pretty small place so it might be hard to get a table big enough for more than four when they’re busy. Check their Facebook page for the latest updates. I’d tried to visit Nouvelle on a couple of occasions only to get there and find that they were closed due to extenuating circumstances and a quick look at the FB page would have saved me some time. I’m glad I finally got to try it though. I really look forward to visiting again!

KimA. DO NOT Pass this place up! It may look small and unattractive but the food was amazing and the Prices were very good. I started out with the sweet potato bisque My Husband had the potato soup. Both were Great. I was expecting some sweet soup , it wasn’t but it was wonderful flavorful. and the small bread they laid across the bowl was perfect. I had the steak for a main course and let me tell you I finished all of it The meat was very flavorful and juicy. I ordered it Med well and it was still Juicy and Delicious . My husband ordered the 50/50 Meatloaf and he enjoyed it as well. we ate it all and there was no leftovers. which is rare.
Superb butternut squash soup. It had other vegetables but was light and delish. Fresh everything ! A friend had fresh cut fries. Can’t wait to go back and try boullibaise.
Rendezvous at Nouvelle. A wonderful dining experience. The Flounder Roulade was a delicious explosion of flavor. The Bouillabaisse a victorious triumph. I do believe Napoleon would approve.

The best in Norfolk or Virginia beach. French bistro with the most amazing food! Small and quaint atmosphere, the food and the people move you to the south of France and back! If you love food you should go here
