Best Sunset in Norfolk!. The Pagoda is a hidden treasure! Great food, local music and gorgeous gardens. The bruschetta choices are delicious. The prices are good and the food is all brought in from local vendors. The sunset is one of the best in the area.
Mmm hmmm. A nice quite peaceful spot for dinner and live music in the middle down town Norfolk.
Special Drink! :-). Stopped in for a drink and was intrigued by the Verbena Monk. It’s made with an herbal green liqueur, called Chartreuse. Wish we’d had time for dinner, too, but that will come next time. And definitely another round of Verbena Monks! Thank you, Julie, for creating this elixir. 🙂
The GEM of Hampton Roads! Go to take in the beautiful Oriental Gardens along the river in the Freemason area of downtown. Stay for a bite to eat at reasonable prices. I’ve dined here many times. My favorite dish ever was a lunch special of Curried Chicken on Banana Bread – delish!
New Owners New Menu New Staff. Worth a trip! I’ve been in recently and I’m impressed with the new owner and her staff! The Pagoda is located in a great area of Norfolk! The view from the top floor at sunset is beautiful over looking the water. The menu is very unique and there is something for everyone, American and Asian dishes. I would recommend you also try their Brunch!
Pagoda hours of operation. I would love to be able to write a review but, due to highly inaccurate hours of operation posted on the Pagoda website, my friend and I were out of luck when we arrived on a Tuesday for lunch. We had made a special trip only to discover they were closed. I understand the restaurant has no control over the website content; that control is in the hands of the Pagoda Foundation. I urge the Foundation to please correct this oversight quickly for the sake of other diners and for the manager who surely wishes the business to be a success.
Fantastic food, staff, service! New ownership makes all the difference. Pagoda park surrounding it is a jewel. Sunsets and the Elizabeth River augment the delicious food!
