Wished the experience here was better as the location is very convenient for me, however, I will never be back. I respect the fact that everyone needs to start somewhere but our service was so bad I am not sure if this girl has ever even eaten mexican food. After she recomended a dish with shrimp to me I ordered it only wanting to make sure the shrimp was deviened. 20 minutes later she told me they were too busy to remove the skin from the shrimp….. slow bad unintelligent service followed by a rude and slow bartender. Bypass this place and save yourself.
The food is horrible!! Not even worth the money I spent on the Groupon! And the happy hour Margarita taste like limeade juice with ice! Save your money and time. Service was nice but as far as Mexican food your better off hitting up Taco Bell!
The standard Mexican menu. Very average food and even more average service. We got fajitas and tacos and everything was heavily salted.
Not the best but not bad either. I absolutely love Latin/Hispanic foods be it Mexican, Guatemalan, Honduran, El Salvadorian, Cuban, etc. I love it all so I was excited to find a Groupon to Plaza Del Sol. I had the Chile Verde and a Chile Relleno a la carte. The Chile Relleno was delicious. The Chile Verde was a little salty and could have been a been a little better seasoned but it was still quite good. I can’t knock Plaza Del Sol they may not be my first choice but they’re certainly a solid option. My only real knock against them is that there was no discernible host/hostess podium so figuring out who we needed to talk to to be seated was a little confusing (not a deal breaker though).
Great place!. Went to Plaza Del Sol yesterday to watch some of the March Madness games around 6:30… We ordered frozen margaritas and tacos a la carte. Margaritas were SO good and only $4 each during happy hour (4 – 7). Tacos were cheap and yummy too. They kept bringing us chips and dip and didn’t mind us staying till the end of the game we were watching…didn’t leave till after 9 when karaoke started. Looked like a lot of fun, we plan on coming back on a Friday night for more margaritas and karaoke!
Not So Hot. I recently had dinner here with friends. It was our second choice after stopping by another restaurant and finding it full to the brim. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived and we were seating the first booth right after passing the smallish bar. After looking over the menu I decided on the beef nachos and ordered a taco on the side. My buddy had the chicken nachos and his wife had of the Fajitas platters. Then we waited… and waited…Eventually our food arrived. Both the Beef and Chicken nacho’s arrived with nothing but the chips and beef/chicken and some cheese. No lettuce, tomato, jalapenos… etc… I did find 3 tomato pieces in mine… 3… My friends wife did say that she enjoyed her Fajitas. At least 1 of out 3 was happy. We waited again for refills, and even longer to get the check at the end. Meanwhile tables that had arrived after we did had eaten and left. I wish we had gone somewhere else, and next time I will.
Good food. I just ate there. The food was good and the service was fast and friendly. I love the tamales. The guacamole was fresh and very good.
