This place is the best of Downtown Norfolk, the server was very polite and too generous to explain the right food for us, the Wine collection is the one of the best at this place also the food is out of this world its same as i had back in India.
Amazing. I visited this place a while ago, now everytime I think Indian food. I think Safron. The food is amazing the service is great and the atmosphere is very nice. I live in Chesapeake so coming here is a little bit of a drive BUT IT IS SO WORTH IT!
No Way…….Glad I passed it up….Place is HORRIBLE. I was in Virginia this XMAS 2014…….I passed in front of this place and went to 7-11…….these people will never rip me off again.
Consistently amazing!!!! 4th time to the restaurant now, food was outstanding as usual. The service was top notch with the waiter going to great lengths to ensure we had a great experience. He explained each dish individually and recommended what dishes would go well together. As a nice little touch, at the end they brought out a free dessert.Thanks Saffron and see you soon!
So Disappointed. My husband and I have consistently had terrible service at the Va Beach location, and stopped eating there, despite loving the food. We thought maybe a new location would have better service, but no, not the case. Wait staff takes forever to acknowledge you sat down, forever to take order, forever to check on you. No sense of urgency or care for the customer. Bummer, no more Saffron for us EVER. : (
Horrible Service. I went to saffron in norfolk for a dinner party. The party consisted of 14 people. When we arrived everyone appeared to be nice. We were seated, 1st it took 10 mins for someone to come to the table to offer us anything to drink. 2nd, it took 20 more mins for a waitor to come and take our orders. When the orders were taken we waited 45 mins for the appetizers to come out. When they did come out.. the server put the plates at the end of the table for us to figure out who had what orders.(terrible customer service). THEN we were left sitting there for another 30 mins. When asked for some more water, the waiter came and filled 3 glasses and left. We called him back, he came back with an attitude and then filled someone glass with water. Now the big problem this time is the person had SODA in their glass not water!!!!!!(horrible customer service) We were then told it would take another 15 mins for our main course to come out, by this time we were fed up and asked for a manager. The manager was very nice and advised us the appetizers were on the house. I do not think I will ever visit this place again. I will redirect my appetite to the site in va beach for now on! My advise is do not eat here if they are busy!! They do not know how to handle a crowd!!
Noisy and WILD kids……. Place was noisy as hell…kids ran wild….owner did nothing…….I found the food FAIR at best and Expensive……You are better off going to the mall to eat at Foodcourt. The owner will kiss your butt one day…and not know you the next…..Phony as hell.
