User reviews. Great smoked BBQ, Ribs and Brisket. Everything is made in the house, Collars and Brussels Sprouts are to die for. Best Shrimp and Grits in town. Chef Donnie is preparing new daily specials that are off the charts,Fresh Seafood and Eastern Shore Oysters.New Happy Hour Specials from 4 to 6 pm. Oysters, Clams, Shrimp and Wings are just .50 cents each. Raw, Steamed or Fried.
Ok at Best!. The food is served without sauce although i understand the concept of allowing people to sauce there own meat its not traditional. I like for the sauce to be burned into the meat to add the best flavor.
Cool Place and Great Food. Great setting, kicking background music, attentive and friendly servers, but most importantly, really tasty food and drinks. Clear that kitchen puts much much thought and care into meal preparation and presentation. Each time I have eaten here, everyone has raved about their menu choices. It is a place you will come back to again and again because you know that you will get a good meal in a neat place.
Not Impressed. I have eaten alot of BBQ in the area and this place is average. The pulled pork is over flavored and a little dry. The sides are a little bit small and bland. Not somewhere i will frequently eat!
Where is the Sauce?. The food was sub par and when my brisket came out there was no sauce just dry meat. The meal took about an hour to arrive and they forgot to bring the sauce for the dry meat. Won’t be on the top of my list for my next meal out.
Really want to try this place BUT…. I hate when places charge more than $12 a doz for oysters!!! I can’t justify paying that price when there are so many other great places that offer the same product that is fished ALL AROUND HERE for so much cheaper!! Get over yourself Smalls and be a real oyster bar and charge a real price and then maybe we will come to your place!!
Take out for lunch..I wanted the pulled BBQ sandwich but they were out so I decided to go with the pulled chicken sandwich which come with slaw and a side…I got curly fries all for around $10 no drink…the chicken tasted microwaved slapped on a bun..curly fries tasted like they were cooked and redroped an the grease to warm back up…3 stars
