Had eaten at TJs Bistro multiple times before with nothing but great things to say about the food and the service. Unfortunately my most recent visit sullied what was an excellent reputation. My wife and I both decided to go with the Chefs Recommendation, a lamb osso bucco entre. Twice they tried to serve us the sea bass, before the waitress came over and said she thought we had said sea bass. To me, sea bass sounds nothing like chefs recommendation. After being delivered the correct entree (which was good and plentiful), being now short for time we opted for the no flour chocolate cake/tort. (since the lava cake noted a 10 min prep time). BTW, the dessert was a disappointment It was still at least 10 min for service. The delays were compounded when after our waitress delivered our ticket to the valet and when we got outside he not only hadnt gotten the car but was just standing behind his podium and had to be prompted to get the car. All in all a disappointing, frustrating experience. For what you pay here you expect much, much better. Will I return, yes. Ill give them a chance to show this Time was an anomaly, but after that Ill be done. Todd Jurich seems to have become complacent with success and it is showing in his service.

Wonderful food for restaurant week. Had amazing roasted mussels (creamy and perfectly seasoned) followed by short ribs (silky tender braised) and a not too sweet bread pudding (first one that I’ve understood why folks want to eat it).Try it, right amount of amazing flavors and textures.

The restaurant is outdated and the menu doesn’t have much flair to it, but keeping in the mind their clientele are the elderly you expect as much.

This place is amazing! My husband and I went during restaurant week to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Our table had been nicely decorated for the occasion. I ordered the Caesar salad with a popover, the filet mignon and the dark chocolate mousse. The salad was very tasty and the popover was nice and crunchy on the outside with a soft inside. My filet mignon had been perfectly cooked at medium and melted in my mouth like butter…so very tasty and tender. It came with a polenta cake and sauted spinach, both of which were perfectly done. My husband and I also ordered a side of duck fat fries to share which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The dark chocolate mousse I ordered came in an adorable little mason jar. At first I thought it was too small of a dessert upon looking at it, but after tasting it, I realized it was perfectly portioned as it was so rich and decadent. It was the best dessert I have had in a very long time!! It was so creamy and chocolatey and had roasted coconut sprinkled on top along with a caramelized banana chunk and a sprig of fresh mint. I’m still thinking about that mousse a day later and wish I had some right now. I asked our waitress to please tell the chef it was so crazy good. I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for helping to make our anniversary a memorable one.

Great lunch spot! Was in town to tour the Battleship Wisconsin, and decided to stop here, right across the street, for lunch. Great service, and even better food!

Absolutely loved the experience I had here! My first time at Todd’s and I was with my boyfriend whom had been there before. He loved the appetizer onion straws that they used to serve but we’re no longer on the menu. The chef made them for us anyways! I got the scallops with spinach and mashed potatoes for an entree and it was delicious! Service was great and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I love this place!. Todd used to be a family friend so I grew up eating this kind of food. While that might make me a little biased, it also means I expect a lot from my food. I hadn’t eaten there in many years when my husband and I decided to give it a try. It was amazing. Since then we’ve eaten here on several occasions. Sometimes the waiters are not as quick as I’d like them to be, but the food never disappoints. The only complaint I have is the desserts are all very rich. I haven’t tried them all but I’ve tried a few and it was always hard for me to take more than a couple of bites.
