Great tasting and inexpensive chinese takeout. I’ve been a regular yummy walk customer for a long time and the food is always good and inexpensive with large portions compared to some other places. The Szechuan chicken or tofu is delicious and the mixed vegetables with garlic sauce is another favorite. The dumplings (fried or steamed) are a great appetizer. The only problem I have had there is the general tso sauce is not spicy at all. You have to ask for it to be extra, extra spicy if you want it to have a kick… But that is a problem with nearly every asian restaurant in this part of the country.
I’ll be back.. I had a very good lunch from here recently. We were swamped at work and called in an order which one of the crew picked up. Having not eaten here before I went with a basic dish, Beef & Broccoli. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion received and enjoyed it a great deal. On the flip side the pork egg roll wasn’t so hot. It was the frozen variety, who’s aren’t, and had a funny taste to it. I hope it wasn’t dog. ;)All in all it was a good meal and I’ll definitely be trying them out again.
I started ordering from Yummy Wok when another local Chinese delivery place had some kind of melt down. I am very glad that I made the switch. The food is just great, with steamed specials that I just love. Delivery rarely takes longer than 30 minutes and everybody there is friendly and courteous. What more could you ask?
Pretty good Chinese for delivery. Started going to Yummy Wok after Kin’s Wok stopped taking credit cards, and after the Harris Teeter build-out chased off China Ocean. Well, China Ocean is back, Kin’s Wok takes credit cards again, but I’m still ordering Yummy Wok. They have good Chinese food, fair prices, and prompt delivery. Plus, you can order from them online through campusspecial.com, for a $1.00 fee. The staff there is friendly, and the service is quick.
The food here is consistent and affordable. As far as Chinese take out goes this place is reliable, clean and tasty.
The food is usually delicious, but our delivery took an hour, was cold when it arrived and sadly we got the wrong items.
Hands Down Best. SInce I moved to Norfolk, I made it a mission to find the absolute best Chinese food in the area. I have tried every Chinese place…Colley, 21st, Hampton Blvd and beyond, and each time I get a new menu in my mail, I made a point to at least see. Now…the mission is over. Yummy Wok is hands down the consistently best. It consistently delivers quality food, with the best portion sizes for the price. Norfolk best!
