I always do delivery from here whenever I am in mood for Chinese. I order from their traditional menu and they have a lot of options. However, the food can be a tad bit greasy! If you want to eat in, this is inside the University mall.
Great sweet and sour sauce. I don’t eat Chinese food very often so I’m no expert, but I think this place has the best sweet and sour sauce I’ve ever had.Like one of the millions of Chinese buffets in America, the food at Hunan King isn’t really good or really bad. It’s just kind of there. I like the restaurant quite a bit because it’s close to the Math Emporium where I would have to take certain tests when I was a student. I’ve never had an actual meal there, just the lunch buffets which have never been amazing or disappointing. The price was good, about five dollars for a buffet and a glass of water, and the food was always hot. Since it’s such a small place, the buffet is no more than two tables long. It can get pretty busy during the week when students want to get a good bang for their buck. This sometimes means whatever you want will be gone when you finally get through the line, but it also means the kitchen staff is constantly working so new food comes out about every ten minutes. No food sitting under heat lamps for two hours here. The size of the place limits the kitchen staff and area for food, so every day only has five or six different dishes to go with the normal egg rolls and wontons. Truly picky eaters might wish to ask to ask what is at the buffet before sitting down, but I’ve been here on multiple occasions with different people and no one has ever looked at the table of food and decided there was nothing he or she wanted to eat.
