I would say 3.7. They have great deals for sushi night. I have had only their sushi and I really like their food. Good atmosphere and I have had good experience with the service as well.
Awesome deals for sushi night. Sushi was pretty good however it took a while to get our food because it was pretty busy when we ordered. Pretty standard sushi restraint and nothing over the top amazing about it. Will definitely go back for sushi night.
A Very Poor Meal. This past Saturday night we had dinner at Sake House – ordered miso soup, salad, various sushis and rolls, including spider roll, futomaki, tamago, tuna roll, scallop roll, cucumber roll; fried dumplings; noodles with shrimp, etc. My son and his family (they live in Toronto) were our guests – and they had eaten at Sake House last year and had a very good meal – so they wanted to eat there again on this visit. We were all disappointed. The sushi rice was very vinegary (so much so that their son, who usually loves this kind of meal, spit it out). The spider roll was small, overly breaded, terribly sweet – it could have been shoelaces rather than soft-shell crab. We also had eel – and that was overly sweet as well – same sauce as the spider roll. The tamago (an egg cake, which should be sweet) was salty. The dumplings were OK. The tuna and cucumber roll were OK too, but nothing special. And everything was really expensive. Our server was very good, prompt, cheerful, and efficient – no complaints there – and we decided to hold our review for this ad. We called tonight (Monday) to get management’s e-mail – we realize that Monday night is very busy and didn’t want to take up time on a busy night – but they were too busy to give us management’s e-mail and told us to call back tomorrow, which we will do. I guess they are not used to negative comments and don’t have a way to handle them when the regular management isn’t at the helm. Pity – this was a great place. Once.
Half Price Sushi and Great Bento Boxes Lunches. Sake House is a favorite place for a cheap Monday evening date. The half-price offerings are simple but tasty. For lunch, the Bento boxes are wonderful- my wife and I wish they offered them for dinner! Their pomegranate martini is quite tasty as well. Good atmosphere. Recommended. If you are in the First and Main Shopping Center looking for dinner, skip Bull and Bones and choose Sake House instead.
One of the better sushi places in Blacksburg. I recommend half off sushi night on Monday’s. Otherwise it is expensive
Sake House is delicous and it’s worth the price.
GREAT!!. When I went there it was my first time having sushi. I really liked the way they prepared it. There was great service. I would recommend the wasabi shrimp, the smoked salmon sushi, and ice cream tempura for dessert.
