Surprisngly superlative. Random compliment: Anything on the menu that contains onions is worth trying because they really know how to cook them well and dish-appropriate. Sushi is a big surprise; did not expect that level of quality in Bristol of all places.
Fear Not Sushi fans!!! Unexpectedly Awesome.. Amazingly good sushi. Especially this far inland. I’d been spoiled and had excellent sushi previously, including a stint living in Hawaii. I was SHOCKED how good this place was. Wonderful staff who consistently put out excellent food! I visited family at UVA in Charlottesville awhile back. I figured sushi in a bigger city, closer to major markets might outshine our local favorite just a bit. But no! Osaka, right here in Bristol VA was far better! Enjoy!! Just off Exit 7 in the Food City Plaza Bristol VA.
The sushi and the Bento Box are both very good from here. I was surprised that even as a take-out order, the presentation was very nice and the order was bagged very well. I would have to say that I feel that overall the taste of the food doesn’t merit the higher price though.
Awesome, Affordable Sushi. We have been to Osaka several times. When my friends first told me about the amazing sushi in BRISTOL I was skeptical. But it was fabulous. I have been back several times and it is consistently so. The Rainbow Roll and Double Tuna Roll are my favorites. The staff is always very friendly, personable, helpful, and timely. Also try the Tuna Tataki; it is the best tuna appetizer I’ve ever had. The only thing Osaka lacks is a website. I wish they had one so I could drool over the menu before my visits!
We’re lucky it’s Here!. I admit that I am addicted to Sushi and Sashimi and Osaka is a Gem. If I could afford to eat there 1-2 times a week….I definitely would. I think the highlight of Osaka is their Special Rolls.I have never been disappointed and they are generous in size and fairly priced. I feel fortunate that we have this restaurant here in Bristol when most everything else is a crummy chain with a few exceptions.
Can you really ask a table to leave ater the check has been paid and a tip left?. After a long week we were excited to have a wonderful dinner with our friends. We were rushed through our sushi appetizer after receiving our meal only minutes after. The food was good, however my veggies were a little undercooked. After our check was taken and tip was left,we were rudely asked by the manager to leave the resaurant. The manager stood over our table watching us finish our orange and then had the nerve to ask us to leave again. We will not be going back and will ensure none of our friends do either.
