So good!. This place is one of my favorite restaurants in town. the vegetable dishes are so good, i dont even bother with the kabobs. the kadu (squash) is so good we picked some up and had it with thanksgiving dinner. the spinach, chick peas, okra, rice…all of it’s amazing…such great flavor! if we have friends come in from out of town, this is the first place we take them.06 Nov, 2012New favorite restaurant. This place packs a whole lot of flavor in every dish. i’ve never had butternut squash that tasty before, and the appetizers–veg samosas and aushak–were pretty grand as well. kabobs quite good…but good gawd that squash is amazing!

Good food. Incredible squash. The meat was a little tough but tasty. The wait staff was omnipresent but not terribly intuitive, overfilling glasses, delivering the entree too soon after the salad interrupting conversations and the like.I did find the large picture of the World Trade Center unsettling in an Afghan restaurant.

Wonderful dinner!. I went there for the first time the other night, and can’t wait to go back. To start we had the vegetarian samosas and the Aushak (leek-filled dumplings with meat sauce and yogurt sauce), and both were delicious. Then we all got various combo kabob platters. The meat kabobs themselves were good, but nothing to write home about, but the vegetable sides were amazing. The Kadu, or sweet and savor braised butternut squash with yogurt sauce, was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Portions were large, prices reasonable, service very good, food great.

Great choice for something new. I have never had Afghan food, but kabobs I do enjoy so when I saw their lunch buffet I decided to try it out. I was not disappointed everything tasted great with all sorts of new flavor profiles i have never experienced before. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to expand their food choices

Excellent food and service. This is a great spot. Readily makes adjustments for a vegan diner. Friendly, delicious and you can bring your own bottle of wine to have with your meal!!!A real favorite!
