Great food, friendly service! The southwest chicken wrap was outstanding. The curry chicken salad sandwich was good. But you must try the apple pie with cheese melted on it. Oh my! It was a taste sensation! So good! Can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful food and great service too!. We have been to Aromas many times and everything we have ordered has been beyond our expectations. Our favorite is the Moroccan wrap and the Turkish coffee is a must have! We love the Turkish coffee so much we have bought some and tried to make it at home- but it is never as good as Aromas! I would like to add that the owner is so wonderful and makes you feel like family- a nice change of pace in today’s world.
Wonderful lamb and chicken… appetizers need work. The lamb tangine my husband ordered was wonderful (served over lentils) and my chicken wrap was very nice. However the falafel we ordered as an appetizer arrived burned to a crisp and dry as a bone.
Pricey for lunch, but good. I’ve been there a number of times for lunch, and really like the place. I look forward to going there for dinner sometime and trying the seafood specials, which also sound delicious, but too much or too expensive to have for lunch.The good–Very nice owner and wait staff.Wonderful baba ganoush (which for me is saying alot, as I’ve never ever had b.g. that I’ve liked before). Their vegetarian soups (which, too often, can tend to be bland and uninspired) are very good, with a lot of flavor and are nicely spiced. I’ve also had the Mediterranean salad (chicken skewers on a salad with roasted eggplant, olives, feta, etc… with a lemon-lime honey dressing) which was great.Definitely try the grilled tiger shrimp over orzo–wonderful!The not-so-good: I was unimpressed with their falafel, which I thought was too dry and not very flavorful. I thought they were overpriced on some of their menu items. For example, you don’t get much hummus or baba ganoush for the price. Also, I wish they’d have some less expensive lunch options. Spending close to $20 on a lunch is painful. The portions are definitely lunch sized, and should be priced accordingly.
Warm and satisfying. I have never had a bad experience at Aromas. The owner is sincerely friendly and attentive. I like the atmosphere inside and out. Great place to chill with a local beer and a falafel or chicken schwarma. The iced tea is also exotically flavored with orange flower water or something. Truly refreshing and I look forward to having that and the dessert with the yogurt and chopped dried fruit and nuts drizzled with honey. I am salivating as I write this…
A Virginia Experience. Aromas is one of those unique places that we always look forward to visiting when on vacation in Virginia, whether it be to the Colonial Williamsburg location near the coast or the Charlottesville location in the Monticello foothills of the mountains. Always well appointed and dilectible.
