I visited Betty’s while staying at the Omni downtown Charlottesville to pick up a salad for my wife. It bears noting we are both adventurous diners and enjoy new things. However, house salads are usually safe bets wherever you go, just not at this resturant. It had a good base of very fresh greens, typical toppings such as tomatoes, almond slices, etc., but then it went off the rails. Pickled beet root, raw brussell spouts and green beans, raw carrot, and grapefruit sectioned pulp. There was also a soft brie, and another tuber that I could not place. I’m certain some may like it but I found the flavors and textures contradictory.
