Superb. This is the first restaurant I recommend to all my friends and family who come to Charlottesville (and all of them thank me later). Beyond the excellent food, the environment is comfortable and service is great. My favorite restaurant in town without a doubt.
A second night? Wow. Don’t normally do this, but it is so good. Has the hanger steak. And it was incredible. Partner had the meatloaf that she ate ALL of it. That doesn’t happen often. I can’t wait to go back.04 Sep, 2013Excellent. We shared the appetizer of bacon wrapped figs. Wow. Then we shared the butternut squash ravioli. Again wow. Service great too.
Service was good, with cheerful staff. Had the meatloaf- good but would prefer it unwrapped from foil prior to serving. Wife had the ravioli- good too. Frites were tasty too
It is a cozy little restaurant, but the food was awesome! Lots of local produce, freshly made mozzerella, and great daily specials.
Not a very happy experience. The place was too cozy.The food is very pricy.The waiter is very good and friendly but not the waitress.we were waiting there for the table being available for 40 minutes.The waitress override us to bring another group of guests to the table even without talk to us frist.We are very tolerance people but were hurt by what the waitress did to us.We will never return the resturant again.
Decidedly underwhelmed. Just like everything else in this town, this restaurant is all hype. Crappy service, simple food, cheap wine glasses. Waitress didn’t even give me a glass for my beer….
Great Night Out. My co-worker and I went there to celebrate a job well done on a Friday night. We were originally going to get an appetizer and maybe some sparkling. We wanted to sit outside, but the manager said we were allowed, but if a big table decided to show up, we’d be shuffled into the bar area, which wasn’t a problem.The server, Andrew, was awesome, trying to get us the sparkling we ordered at first. We got two glasses, then had to move onto the bottle to save some money. Great experience, great sparkling (even the pink one)
