This place has great food, friendly-fast service, AMAZING drinks and the price is extremely awesome! Guadalajara and Plaza Azteca seem too worried about making money and being flashy. El Puerto actually seems to care about each table personally and everyone is just so friendly. The price range makes it a casual or business casual restaurant, but is also great for parties. I LOVE this place and is definitely the best Mexican restaurant around.

I love this place! They have the best Mexican food in the area hands down. And as an added plus, I had been in college out of state for 6 months, and they remembered me, my family, and our usual order. I absolutely recommend this place!
Just normal. Thought there was nothing exceptional about this ‘authentic Mexican’ food…like most others…athough they boil their chicken and it is pretty tasteless, and the pork is over done, dry and fatty. On the upside, when I didn’t want the pork they offered great customer service and offered something else to replace it but when declined, removed the entree from my bill. Even while checking out, the employee apologized that my meal wasn’t satisfactory to me.This was recommended by a friend who’s favorite Mexican Restaurant is El Puerto…to each his own!
Sorry but I have no clue as to how this place had received such a high percentage of positive ratings. I know good mexican and this isn’t it. Guadalajara isn’t much better. Still searching fir good Mexican in Cville. May have to ask a Mexican or two because the Cville gringos have no idea it seams. Just being honest.
Fantastic People and Food. Everything I’ve ever ordered from this restaurant, in the 9 years I’ve been coming here, has been fantastic. I’m not exaggerating.
Good local food.. Great price for some wonderful food. A lot of locals speak highly of this place so you know its good.
