New Best Place To Eat. The new Escafe’ is here. Escafe’, under the guidance of the owner, Todd has relocated to Water Street (at the former location of Oxo) and has gone from being a very good location to eat to being one of the best dining spots in Charlottesville. We were fortunate to eat on Valentine’s Day in a preview week before the establishment reopens for the general public. The service was excellent. The food was as great as can be found anywhere around. Our two entrees consisted of a pork tenderloin and a beef tenderloin steak which were simply extraordinary. The presentations were 5-star all the way. Topped with an eatable orchid-type flower, this was a meal you might easy expect at the finest of restaurants. The prices are extraordinary as well with the price of entrees ranging from $8 to $22. Kudos to the chefs, Brian and Tim. If you miss the new Escafe’, you are missing one of the best dining experiences in our entire area. Try it now. Todd is still in the midst of completing the new decor but the food is ready to satisfy the discriminating palette.
