Great for coffee, cakes ordered out and thier baked goods. Can’t recommend anything out of these parameters though, definately don’t reccommend the deli case, either. Had some wakame salad from there that had seen it’s day before it reached me.
Love Hotcakes. I love hotcakes. They make great muffins and all their desserts are to die for. One thing I love about them too is they give UVA employees free items every month. How nice is that????The people that work there are always helpful and nice. Hotcakes is a treasure for Charlottesville. Their tiramasu is as good as any I’ve ever had. I also love their peanut butter pie.

The Sloan’s Cheesecake is fabulous (it’s more of a cheese pie, very very creamy, as opposed to the dryer New York style).Miss: their salads and entrees. I’m a huge fan of places like this that have cases full of interesting gourmet prepared foods, but I find these overpriced, and pretty average. They may look pretty and sound good, but I have been consistently disappointed with their execution.To sum up, don’t bother getting lunch or dinner there, but make it your go-to place for desserts!
Worst customer service on the planet!. The staff were very rude. I am dumbfounded how this place is still in business?Overpriced average tasting food. You would be better off going to the CVS next door!
HotCakes Catering: always great. We have ordered catered meals and events for years. Why has it taken me so long to write a review when it is excellent every single time? Shame on me! There’s just nowhere else to consider going. They have never let us down. Family, friends, job co-workers love everything, every party!Thank you Lisa and all HotCakes staff!
The food can be good (not always), but the customer service is always terrible. They are very rude and very slow.
Catered our wedding: delicious food, well priced, easy to work with, and the creators of an outstanding white-chocolate cake. Not to be missed.
