Crozet la joya. No beer, no curry on my curry chicken, cold draft blowing on me (but no draft beer)! Terrible first impression. My daughter got a cheeseburger with no cheese! Is the one on charlottesville this bad? Totally unprepared to open.
Enjoy!!!!. Had a wonderful time! The staff is charming, friendly, and helpful. The pork in the carnitas was tender, and flavorful. The beef chimichungas..fried..were spot on. The price point was soooo excellent for the food portions with sides..rice and beans..also very tasty. We ordered the LARGE frozen margaritas and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was clean and the decor fun. It is in the Wilouby Shopping Center, but don’t let this fool you for this place is a gem for good authentic mexican food. We left full and happy!!
Muy Bien. Had dinner here along w/ 12 yr old son and spouse. All liked it. Salsa great, a little spicy for 12 yr old, but remedied w/th some sour cream. Great for vegetarians, they offer Spinach or Potato fillings along with the standards like re-fried beans, cheese, and meat options. Spinach Burrito is recommended. Check out the a la carte menu if you are not super hungry as portions are good sized for one person. Very good fast service. Compared to others in town, not as good as tex-mex Continental Divide, but it’s 1/2 the price. Better than most of the other Mexican places I’ve tried such as Guad. and Aqui es…Recommended for casual dining.
As good as guad, el puerto etc. This place is nothing special but it’s as good as the rest of the very average mexican food in town. on the plus side, it’s rarely crowded, so you can go there for lunch, order a bean and rice burrito–quite good–have some free chips and (very good) salsa, and it only costs $3.50. and they’re fast, so you can get in and out as quickly as you can at taco bell across the street. on the down side, they’ve got some sort of plumbing problem so sometimes it’s a little rank-smelling. but yeah…it’s cheap and pretty good. i’ve had good burritos, tacos and enchiladas here. hope it stays open.
