Big eats. I have had several different meals at Mel’s and all that I have had has been just great! True southern cooking. My favorite? Everything! Wish they were in Louisa. They would see me everyday. They are so nice too!12 Jan, 2012Wow. Awesome awesome southern cooking. Hard to find my favorite, liver and onions around here. YUM! I wish they were on the other side of town. Takes a minute to get your meal but sooooo worth it. I have just talked myself into a trip across town tomorrow for something off the menu.
The liver and onions are to die for. The folks are so friendly and the food delish!27 Feb, 2012Very tasty, and really friendly. They accept cash and checks only.
My burger and onion rings were delicious. And my Dad raved about how good his omelette breakfast was. Staff is friendly as can be. Really great place.
This is a small place w/ huge flavors!! The Cheeseburger is to die for! The Wings, greens & potatoes are amazing too. The best part of our experience was the hospitality!! Everyone was so welcoming & friendly. It was like Sunday dinner at their home! Thanks Mel’s. We will be back!
Delicious and inexpensive. Southern food, flavorful and honest. You gotta try this place.
This is home cookin’ and genuine cuisine that any Southerner should enjoy. Mac n’ cheese, a wonderful pork- chop sandwich, seasoned greens-no real healthfood here–and sweet tea. You must go to Mel’s at least once.
