I went there on a friend’s recommendation for some good Charlottesville food. Not only did my sister and I wait 35 minutes for our food, I was served a turkey burger by mistake instead of a black bean burger. I ate about half of it before realizing, and I’m a vegetarian. I told the waitress and talked to the manager, and all they did was say sorry and comp the bill. I know there’s not much else they can do, but I got sick to my stomach after eating a few bites of the turkey burger. It worries me that a mistake in an order like that was made…what if it had been a food allergy, not just a diet concern?
Excellent food and beer. This place has a nice selection of beer. The food was appropriately price and was better than I was expecting for pub fair. The wings are solid (though not out of this world) and the muffaleta was very good. Would definitely go back given the great location and the atmosphere outside
Yum!. I think Edmund needs to get off his high horse. Miller’s will always have a place in my heart. I am not always a fan of the rough and tough crowd but I sure do love the food and for the most part the atmosphere. My boyfriend is born and raised in New Orleans and the Shrimp Poboy is his favorite sandwich in town! Miller’s is just a classic Cville scene. You haven’t really seen Cville until you go to Miller’s.
Phhily guy who loved the variety and unique gems on the menu and more importantly great execution. The outdoor dining is a delight. The wait staff courteous. The food was ample portions and tasty.
Sat outside. Long wait for the food but we were warned when we sat down. Pretzel bites are primo and worth every calorie. Burgers and dogs were excellent.
Do yourself a favor and come get the pretzel bites…you will not regret it!
The full pub experience. An excellent selection of beers – possibly too many because our waitress (bless her little cotton socks) had to come back and ask me what I’d actually ordered. Looking through the menu I (actually being from Louisiana) get just a little suspicious when the menu feels that they have to specific that the shrimp in a shrimp poboy are fried – so we played safe and ordered the Texas Chili. Our memory impaired waitress assured us that it was excellent – and, had it been served hot, we would have probably agreed.Unfortunately it was served lukewarm – the cheese on top remained solidly unmelted … after a while the waitress trotted out (we were seated at the outdoor tables in the pedestrian area) and we reported the problem with the chili – she apologized and took the chili back inside, returning after a few minutes with a fresh bowl … which was also luke warm.We paid our bill, left a tip (which she seemed surprised to find, God bless her) and left $20 poorer but much wiser. There are better places to eat in C’ville – but this place does offer the traditional pub experience … beer and food – food that probably tastes much better after four or five beers.
