Cozy + bistro. First time Charlottesville visitor and had to take 4 people out for dinner. Casual, cozy (yes, small), but homey French food. One person got the hangar steak, another chose swordfish, another had seafood stew, and I got mussels. Happy folks all around.Service was relaxed but good.
Absolutely delicious! Adorable little French restaurant on the downtown mall. Divine atmosphere and attentive service. Went there for valentines day and it could not have been more perfect. Will return.
Fantastic place for a quiey dinner for one or with friends. The duck and gnocchi are fantastic. And, the wine selection is world-class.
Great food. I loved this place. Excellent crab cake and risotto.
The $23 prix fixe menu was great & service was just right. The waitress helped me pick a nice glass of wine & didn’t rush me, eventhough I was dining solo.
Love the food- service was very slow. This is a very small quaint place with really good food and very slow service- we waited 20 minutes just to get a server! The food was another 30+ minutes- my husband was so angry he wanted to leave- thank goodness the food was so good- I think they may have had an off night so we would try it again.
Like it indeed. Stopped in for an early dinner whilst out strolling the mall. I was actually a bit too early (15-20 mins before official opening), but the server still sat me, and brought over some water. He offered to let me order, even. Since I wanted to stay light, I had the bibb salad w/mascarpone-sherry dressing and the chocolate-hazelnut mousse dessert. Both were wonderful. The outside setting was pleasant, though the inside looked like it could get quite crowed. Overall, I enjoyed Petit Pois…I would return!
