Will never order from here again…. While the food there is generally good, the turnaround time on deliveries is not. This morning several co-workers and I ordered delivery online (their website directs visitors to CampusSpecial.com). Orders were placed at 10:42 a.m.; we called at 12:10 p.m. to ask for chopsticks and extra condiments and were told yes. By 12:30 the food still had not arrived (we are less than three miles away) and when we called we were told that the order had not been received (if that is the case, why was this not disclosed when we called shortly after noon), that it would be another 45 minutes for the order, and no, the manager was not willing to work with us on this. They blamed the issue on their online vendor, but they had a couple of different opportunities to ensure that they had the order and get it to us. The feeling I got was that they did NOT value their customers – we order from them frequently at the business address to which this was to be delivered, and many of us have them deliver to our homes – and that they were not at all concerned about the lack of service. We cancelled the orders, called into another local Chinese restaurant (yeah, we have to go pick it up, but it’s late and it’s better than waiting around another hour) and will not be using this place again.

Seriously probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in Charlottesville! Food is always made fresh and it is absolutely amazing. Try the fried cheese wontons.

GREAT FOOD. TOTALLY love The Red Lantern. THEY are a GREAT bunch of people and have the most AWESOME Chinese FOOD! Have tried different things each time I go. ANd NEVER DISSATISFIED! GREAT!
