I had Southwest tacos and a Sclafy breakfast stout. The beer sucked, but that’s not their fault and the tacos were amazing. Those were some of the best tacos I’ve had in awhile. Well cooked steak, great amount of sauce, and the taco shell was a combination of hard and soft. Also, the view by the yoga studio is legit haha (bro talk).
The food was pretty good but not great. The service was terrible, all in all it was not a good experience and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. The one upset is the substantial beer menu.
My wife and I try to visit a new Charlottesville restaurant every week and I have to say this restaurant competes with others in a higher price bracket as far as food quality and presentation. In fact, if we cheat and go to a restaurant we’ve already visited, there’s a good chance it’s back here. We’ve visited a total of 3 times now. We’ve tried the scallops, the lamb and the pork-chops at various times while we were there and all were amazing. I know there are a couple other meals we’ve had there, but I don’t remember what they were off hand and don’t see a menu online to refresh my memory. The service was good all 3 times we were there (I will say it didn’t stand out as over-the-top fantastic, but we did get everything we wanted/needed in a fairly timely manner.)Regardless, the fact that the food here is very comparable to C&O or Hamilton’s at Main and costs SUBSTANTIALLY less is really good reason to head back.
Took the family and had great food and drink. Great selection of beverages and menu items. We will return.
Waited forever for service at lunch – an hour and a half for a foursome is wrong. Manager did not help when made aware.
Great beer and inexpensive eats. 50 beers on tap and another 200+ on the shelf, including many local brews. Better than the usual bar food but very reasonably priced.
