It was good…I Guinness. I was pretty torn whether to give Trinity a thumbs up or down, but decided that I would go back to eat there again, so a thumbs up it got. I think a pro/con list will work best:Pros:Decent food, good variety, unique items, large beer selection, good hometown feelCons:Food wasn’t great, took an hour to order and receive two simple dishes, had to wait again to get check (wouldn’t have been a problem but we had to be somewhere)It was a Sunday late morning so I understood why it was packed and felt lucky we didn’t have to wait for a seat. I had the Guinness pancakes with a pint of the good stuff and Hubby had the French Roll.
Great pub, better-than-average food.. Somewhat decent beer selection. was expecting a bit more for being right on main street in the middle of University of VA campus. Had a couple pints of Guinness and a couple of Irish carbombs. A perfect pour and the carbombs were spot-on. Drinks were a bit on the steep side though. Something like $28 for 2 beers and 2 carbombs. Barely a decent buzz.Had the turkey burger with guacamole and caramelized red onions and it was big, juicy, and delicious. My partner stole a couple of Trinity pint glasses when we left so I have a souvenir. :)Overall only average. Not giving it a thumbs up or down.

Great Spot. I’ve now been to Trinity twice. Both times I was very impressed with the food. I recommend the Fish and Chips if you’re hungry and the Turkey Burger if you’re going for something a bit less filling. As far as the atmosphere of the bar, you get what you expect. They’ve got about 15+ flat screen TVs, 3 bars, decently loud music and some ‘cool’ decor. The wait and bar staff are really good looking, although not the most experienced. I’ve had a pretty girl named Marleen before and she actually knew what she was doing. Also, a bartender named Katie is very nice and not so bad on the eyes either. All in all, I’d highly recommend the place if you’re in the 20-30 age group.
