Great food, excellent service, yummy cocktails and wonderful outdoor seating. We opted for the beef tartar special as an appetizer and it was amazing, as was the farro and Kale salad. The Halibut and sea scallops also were outstanding.
One of my best meals in Cville. I would rank this place in my top 3 restaurants here in town. The food is so flavorful, the menu is innovative, and presentation beautiful. The service was great. I would say the drinks were just okay. The food though… I can’t say enough. We had the salmon, steak and chicken at our table. Every bite was a burst of flavors. The salmon was served with a very delicious sauce over Israeli couscous… Highly recommend!! My husband said the steak was very juicy and cooked to perfection. It basically melts in your mouth. Good portion sizes too. I can’t wait to go back.
Great food and atmosphere. Groovy atmosphere right in the middle of Charlottesville’s happening Downtown Mall. All our choices were delicious – cooked perfectly, presented attractively and YUMMY! HIghly recommend. The drink menu is extensive, a little disappointing in the delivery. Would have thought their margarita would feature top shelf tequila, but not so. Otherwise, well worth it.
Damn that hit the tastebuds at all the right places. Damn, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Charlottesville thus far. The experience starts as soon as you walk in the restaurant; the hostess if ready to take you to your table, as you walk through a brick exposed walls. The restaurant offers a wide variety of drinks ranging from cocktails to wines from around the world. Then come the appetizers we tried two different dishes that night and both were exceptional, with very refined flavors. Each appetizer can be shared between 2-3 people and everyone can enjoy a little bit. As for the main dish I tried the drunken steak, and it was delicious. Even though main dish portions are not huge, I believe they are enough. And this experience wouldn’t be complete without dessert, we tried a lemon creme brulee and it was amazing. Overall, this is a 1 page menu restaurant, meaning that every single dish you try will hit the tastebuds in the right places. All the dishes have a little bit of latin american inspiration while being very refined dishes. I would recommend this restaurant for people going out with couples, and with a group of friends who enjoy refined food.
Great food and great service. Waitress was very attentive and the food was amazing. The polenta croutons in my Caesar salad were amazing and although I wish my ny strip was a bit bigger, the portions they gave were still big, a treat from many other small-portioned fine dining. Great for any parent college visit or just a night on the town. Highly recommend it
Stiff in the shorts! The steak plate is super great and makes you want to masterbate, even if its late, and you’re enjoying your date, say, with Kate! Don’t forget to slip your tip after you’ve had your last sip, to round out the perfect trip!
Chic atmosphere. Very modernly decorated, but still a cozy intimate feel inside the restaraunt. Also primely located on downtown mall. Had the fried ? cheese balls served on a spicy raspberry sauce. I had the steak as my entree and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The dessert was probably my favorite part of dinner. I usually not a big fan of creme brle, but my friend ordered their lemon creme brle with raspberries on the top. It was awesome! Overall a great experience.
