The chef has been working by himself but still tries to fill up his restaurant. It greatly compromised the service. The wait time for an appetizer was 45 mins!!! When I got my fried Snapper Paradise, it was cold already. Definitely will not go back and deal with that wait.14 May, 2012Very authentic and delicious! Amazing presentation as well. Decent price.
Authentic & Good. Everything I get back to Chesapeake, this is the restaurant that I will go to. It is so very rare to find authentic Japanese food prepared by true Japanese masters here in VA. I always go for their sushi and sashimi, and they are always fresh. Depending on what you order, the bill can sometimes come up to a lot, but be assured you are paying for a fairly priced meal. I’m glad they’ve kept the place small and cosy.
Like I said Enjoyed. The Seaweed salad was probably one of the best I have had in a long time. And that can be said for the Octopus salad too.
Very interesting atmosphere, very clean and superior service. We had seaweed salad, spicy cucumber salad, spicy white tuna roll and Tokyo tower roll…all ingredients were fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be returning 🙂
Traditional. Superb.
I’m for it!. Ok, so you walk in and are enthusiastically greeted in Japanese, a beautiful handmade rock fountain is to your right. we were promptly seated during the lunch time rush of corporate Battlefield blvd. Lots of suits and business talk over sushi and green tea however the food and service were superior! the sushi chef is very personable and strives to make sure all is well with your order. Sushi is fantastic! no complaints about quality here…be ready for mayo in a few rolls but some unique selections as well as the familiar rolls we all know and love.
Best sushi in Hampton Roads. I love this place, I was introduced to this place by a co-worker 3 years ago, and honestly, this place has been a favorite ever since. so much that I got back once a month and drive 40 min + to get there! I will even go during rush hour. The only complaint I have is that they are closed from 2pm-530pm everyday. this is an inconvenience, but the food and service are always superb!!!
