We have visited many times. At the beginning it had potential. We returned hoping it would be better than the last time. But it keeps progressively getting worse. Today we sat for an hour and a half as we watched people that came after us, eat, pay and leave. The Daikishi roll (which is what attracted us at the beginning) was flavorless. Sad… So many good restaurants in Chesapeake. Dont waste your money and patience here.

And I mean, a lot.Let me simply say, that Chef Hiro is the only person in town I’d trust to serve sushi like Saba or Uni – both of which tend to be stronger tasting if served improperly. I got the Chirashi for lunch, preferring Omakase (chef’s choice). I was incredibly pleased, and Chef Hiro made it an excellent experience – serving a progression of great flavors, Normally Omakase can be burdensome during a busy time of day, but Hiro San didn’t mind at all.The staff were all incredibly polite an very welcoming. It’s so good to be back! Be sure to check in on Tuesdays as they have Ramen, Kyoto style!
