My boss brought us here once a few years ago for a team outing and I’ve been going ever since. I introduced my family to this place and they drive all the way from Hampton without me sometimes. The food is good and you cannot pass on the freshly made guacamole cart that will roll by or the white sauce and the salsa they bring out at the beginning of your meal. The taco salad, the carne de asada, the avocado salad, the chicken fajitas it’s all delicious! If you are in the Chesapeake Area and you want some good Mexican Food this is your place!

Great food, loved the guacamole and our fajitas for two. Felt bad our waitress. I think she was new and a party of 15 with no help. 4 of the 5 tickets were wrong and one got misplaced and was already paid for. Enjoyed the food and drink. Will return.
The best in Chesapeake hands down. Well, maybe second to three amigos.
My wife and I visited El Loro tonight for the first time, and we will DEFINITELY return. The food was better than so many other Mexican restaurants we’ve tried, yet the prices were actually a little lower. Attentive staff, fun atmosphere, and great food at a great price. Best Mexican ive had outside of Texas or Mexico. Guacamole was made fresh at table (you have to ask for that) and was among best I’ve ever had. Chimi and mushroom quasidilla were great. If they only had the Mexican drink horchata this place would be perfect. They do have mole sauce if you ask for it and their house white sauce is good! Definitely recommend.
I’m not sure what the white sauce is they serve with chips, but it’s delicious. I’ve asked a few times but they say its a secret. Being from TN, we don’t have white sauce, just salsa and queso. Staff is very friendly. Food is usually super fast but try and beat the rush.
