who puts capsicum in mutton biryani ?? really? food was just ok. Dont go on ratings (reason in body)…We were coming back from the outer bank and going to Richmond. We searched this on google and decided to go seeing after 4.1 rating. The ambiance was good but we were not here for that, we ordered Bhindi do pyaja-chicken bhuna and mutton biryani. First thing first, who puts ball pepper in mutton biryani, means really? I am big biryani fan, specially Hyderabadi-Awadhi-Kolkata. And I am pretty sure Punjabi biryani (if there is something like that) also wont come with capsicum. I even called the owner and he was very confident that it cooks like this only. Damn, if the owner is not ready to help us, then what to do. Second thing- it was nowhere close to biryani taste. It was definitely mutton curry mixed with rice and then they served it in a fascinating way. BIG NO… No No.Bhindi do pyaja was good but chicken bhuna…?? do they even know bhuna means?? They served bhuna with tomato gravy (of course common one) with a hard chunk of chickens. Bad chicken bhuna..!!Please dont go on rating which is given by Americans. They like anything which says, Indian curry/food and they will be like Wow our taste buds exploded. Of course, it would, after eating same tender chicken, burger-pizza, boiled food for years, u ll like any avg Indian food. The portion was small, 2 persons can hardly eat in one entre. Our server was a lady and seems she was upset about something.

Cute place. The food is on POINT. They have multiple naan bread seasonings and a good sized menu. Brought a friend who’s never had Indian food and they loved it. Definitely authentic.
