Best Japanese on this side of the water! I’ve never had any problems with the staff or the food. I’ve gone several times with large groups, family members, solo and even ordered to go. I love this place!
Love their sushi. Enjoy the sushi. We have been eating here for years.
Delicious!! Sat in the front dining area. Hubby ordered Bento box and I ordered the Green Buoy Roll. Both were amazing!!
Good affordable lunch!. I’ve had several excellent lunch’s here since the office moved to Greenbrier. Kyoto has been here for years and I may be wrong, but I believe they’re the first place of this kind in the Greenbrier area. For each of our lunch visits we’ve been seated back in the hibachi area. Once we even had the VIP room. It’s a little dated to say the least but at the same time you can see that the grills are quite seasoned. Showmanship is different between each of the chef’s, some are definitely better than other. As far as the food goes I have no complaints. I tend to alternate between shrimp & chicken or shrimp and steak when I’m here. Each meal has been a bounty of food and has been cooked to perfection. While I’m not much of a sushi person I’ve tried the spicy volcano rolls and they’re not bad at all.If you’re looking for a quick Japanese lunch that’s not going to empty your wallet you may want to take a look here.
We went on Sunday evening. The hostess was very unpleasant. After standing there for several minutes, she asked if we had been helped. We told her no. She called another girl over to help determine how to seat 2 people. We ended up just leaving.
Not impressed…service was decent but my husband and I have eaten at several Japanese Steakhouses and this by far was the worst! The soup tasted like water with onion and mushrooms just thrown on for garnish the hot dipping sauce my husband refered to as steak sauce mixed with lighter fluid the white sauce for dipping had almost no flavor the appitizer shrimp was undercooked we ordered vegetable tepura and it was grease soaked and the guy totally murdered the chicken! Needless to say we left paying $80 for a meal for 2 and an upset stomach for me 🙁 never again!!
Out dated maybe?. The interior was so poorly lit it seemed to be covering up the fact the place was out dated and possibly having issues, etc. The food was mediocre for Japanese, nothing impressive but not bad either. I enjoy other local places much more so than Kyoto and doubt I’ll return unless a friend is throwing their birthday there and I can’t get out of it.
