Nice environment and wait staff, but the food was crap. Most came out cold or out of a can. Kielbasa my husband had was big chunks of super salty meat. Corned beef hash my dad had was canned and def nothing special. The chicken fried steak I had was def a commercial, prebreaded, frozen puck that was deep fried shortly, but not so shortly it didn’t come out a bit soggy.
Today I happened to be in the Greenbrier area. So, I swung on into Pop’s Diner Co. And I sure glad I did. The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. I could not be more pleased. I ordered my favorite thing, an all American Club Sandwich. It was so good. Fresh toasted bread, salty bacon, fresh thin slices of turkey and ham. Creamy mayo and the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp. I loved the fries crispy and shoe string. So good. My server Michelle was very pleasant and helpful. Great drink that I never had to wait on a refill for. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, and they were busy. I’m impressed. With over 25 years of restaurant experience myself, I can say with an educated opinion that Pop’s Diner Co. Is firing on all cylinders. I can’t wait to come back with Friends and Family. Dine here without fear, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Thank You Pop’s! Great Job!
