Love this place ! Their Loco Burrito is my all time favorite. Homemade Salsa has just the right amount of heat and their guacamole table side presentation delivers great taste Great service and great prices.
Excellent food, horrible service.. I really enjoy the meals at this place…however, and this is from numerous experiences there, the service is horrible. You will wait for hours to get the attention of your server. The customers really don’t feel appreciated there. It’s here’s your food and if you want something else, then you’ll have to stand up and shout, otherwise your server will often look the other way and go to other tables. So, if you don’t mind the poor service, the food is very good. On a positive note, don’t feel bad about leaving a poor tip (you’d think they would learn).
Wonderful, quick and friendly. Rancho Grande 2 on Eden Way in Chesapeake is my go to Mexican place when I am at work. The food is great, they are very quick, and the staff is extremely friendly.I have been a customer for years, and I have never been disappointed!
My husband and I decided to try out a different Mexican restaurant instead of driving out to Norfolk. We decided to give Rancho Grande 2 another shot. The last time we were here we weren’t too thoroughly impressed but it wasn’t terrible. Service was a little lack luster and could have been a bit more tentative. I would understand more if it was packed but it wasn’t, even on a Friday night. Customers were steady coming in and going out. The food was either awesome or horrible. The chorizo dip is a must! It was very tasty and full of flavor. My husband had the burrito loco. It was massive and worth the $9.99 price tag. I had the combination #17. Please beware: they do not know how to make a proper chile relleno. This normally a pepper that has been seeded, stuffed, and fried. You will not get that here. What you will get is a fried pepper that still has all of the seeds and the ribs inside. I brought this to the attention of our waiter and he told me that’s the way they make it there. They do not stuff it. Unfortunately, it’s not a chile relleno. I can’t even tell you what it is at that point. Needless to say, if we go back, I won’t be ordering that.
I have been with my partner on 3 different occasions and it has gone down hill. The last 2 visits my partners order was wrong and this last visit there was a confusion over who was seating guests, and our waiter did not write down our order. Dissatisfied
Never Again. Both my husband and I have mexican food regularly and figured we would give this place a try. We both ordered the #35 dinner. The service was great/fast as most mexican places are. Now on to the food…it was not only lacking flavor that adding salt to couldn’t help but it also tasted like dirty sink water. Gross!!!!! We both couldn’t eat it so we paid our bill and left disgusted. This is the worst mexican I have ever had and let me tell you… I have been to some shady mexican restaurants.
FAST! Good! Affordable!. When I worked evenings I would regularly go to Rancho Grande about 2 to 3 times a week. Even during the dinner hour with a full dining room, your wait from order to food on the table was usually less than 10 minutes. On my latest visit I stopped in for lunch and as always they start you off with chips, salsa and white sauce that will keep you busy until the entree’s arrive.Less than 10 minutes later I had a #4 combo in front of me (pictured above). The #4 combo includes a beef and cheese Tostada, Enchilada, Spanish Rice and a beef Taco. All for about 7 bucks. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the servers are courteous. So if you want a Mexican meal a step above Taco Bell, drop in and give them a try.
