The food was above average. The service was inexperienced. The atmosphere is was what was the nail in the coffin…typical Chinese restaurant trying to be upscale, not kid friendly, and we were a moderately young family in the midst of Senior Sunday Special.
Peking is my favorite restaurant in the Greater Richmond area for multiple reasons. The atmosphere is relaxing, everyone that works there is very friendly, especially Steve and his son, the quality of the food doesn’t even compare to other Chinese restaurants, you just can’t go wrong coming to Peking of Chester. Also, every Sunday at lunchtime you can enjoy their delicious buffet, so all of you Church-goers, you should definitely come and enjoy the buffet after worship!
Yes to Peking!. Best sit down Chinese restaurant chain in VA, been going since before I could walk. Better than P.F. Changs. Weird business hours, only downside I’ve experience.
What happened?. We’ve been going to Peking for FOREVER and always were VERY pleased. We went for Mother’s Day and were disappointed.Slow service and smaller portions than usual.
