  Stopped here on our way home from vacay in Hilton Head. We were tired, cranky, and we’d had truck trouble earlier in the day. Sean was our server and he was great!!! Not just with us but his other nearby tables! Run-of-the-mill food but Sean made our short visit more pleasant! Thanks Sean!

  I was traveling thru Virginia and looking for a place for lunch and came across Macado’s. We had a very enjoyable experience. The food was great and plenty of it. We sat at the bar and James, our bartender was fantastic Friendly and attentive. The food was good and priced right. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Will be back the next time I am in this area.

  More Pride. I go to the Christainsburg Macados a few times a month. James, the one bartender, is one of the best bartenders in town. He is friendly, learns your name, and makes you feel at home. He gets your drink and food orders right and out fast. I really enjoy when he is working at the bar because I know he will take care of everything. When James is done his shift or I am in the dining room, it’s a different story. There is no pride from the servers in their efforts. At the bar, the other bartenders take their time getting your orders and take frequent smoking breaks. Also, they are not friendly, they look and act annoyed when you want another drink or order food. When you do order food, you don’t see it for a while and you can tell the food was sitting under the heat lamp for a while. In the dining room, the servers rush you in and rush you out. There has been more than a few times where I have received the check while still eating my sandwich. The servers also do not know the drink or food specials either.It a good place and I like the Macados chain, but when I come in and I don’t see James working, I have to make the decision to suck it up with poor service or go somewhere else.

  I frequent this restaurant often and it’s sad to see the quality and customer service steadily deminishing. The family and I stopped in for lunch Sunday (7/8/12) and the temperature inside was a balmy 82 degrees. For whatever reason this is the only sandwich shop in town where it takes over an hour to eat. Over 90+% of the menu is a sandwich and chips! The management and staff needs to step up services and get the food out faster along with the wait staff picking up the pace in cashing out customers.
