Can’t Wait to Return. Patrick Henry seems like a place where’d it be easy to be known as a regular and I sure hope to reach that distinction. While only have six beer taps, they have a very unique selection, of which I selected Founder’s Breakfast Stout. Their menu boasts a nice mix of Irish fare with more traditional American dishes at reasonable prices. After carefully weighing multiple options, I went with the eggplant parmigiana sandwich which did not disappoint in taste nor heartiness. I definitely plan on returning to try other options including the fish and chips which the friendly, energetic server somewhat generically called the best in town.
I wanted to amend my earlier review. In addition to good beer and burgers, their sandwiches are good as well as their salads. They have one of the best Caesar salads around. Decent wine pours.15 Aug, 2011Good for beer and burgers. Other than that, I’d probably go elsewhere. eatdrinkrva.blogspot.com
Always happy. Love this place for dinner. Awesome sandwiches and soups, great beer selection and the best fish and chips in RVA.

Patio-tastic-ness. The Patrick Henry is a great place to grab a beer and sit on the porch. They have good beer on tap and the food is decent. We will definitely be back for quality beer and some outside time.
Mr Henry Would Just Cry. Wow, what the hell happened? Go away for ten years or so, and this happens, a very good restaurant, in a lovely house, becomes a dive bar, with bad food, loud music, and a dirty toliet.Obviously, a number of folks like the neighborohood bar aspects, but I’m not one of them. Shame, this place had the best, the very best, Peanut Soup in Richmond, now I’m pretty sure the only peanuts around are stale.
Good food Virginia rocks!. The burger tuesday is a highlight. 3 dollar burgers or is it 2 anyway. This is not a fast food burger. This is delicious and cooked to order out of quality ingredients with whatever cheese you want. Other dishes are hit and miss but the place is a wonderful small basement bar with a really authentic feel. Virginia is the waitress that is usually there on tuesdays. If you are lucky enough you will have her as your server. She will probably remember your name and what you drink and have it set up for yo ubefore you can say hi. She is truly a one of a kind and one of the few servers that I have ever truly believed should be over tipped.
