Nice place inside, friendly and clean. I had the pastrami lunch special, I’m not usually a big pastrami fan but this was good. Not fatty at all and it was actually a little crispy , very nice. It also had a good bread and I had the fruit cup with it , the fruit was fresh not like the week old wawa cups. I’d go back, it was a little on the expensive side, that’s my only complaint. I paid about $12 for that with a drink.

Bad customer service. I used to love, love, love Jo Jack’s, even with everyone telling me they were too expensive and the didn’t put enough meat in their sandwiches. I did notice a change a few years ago, but I like veggies so I didn’t miss the meat so much. But when it got to a point that I was eating an entire sandwich in one sitting, when it used to take two, I seriously scaled back. And,although tasty, the salads were way too expensive. I went the other day to get a friend a gift of a nice coffee. Just a few minutes later, and more than $6.00 less in my pocket, the lid somehow came off in my car and the entire contents of the cup (16 oz, I suspect) was being soaked up into the carpet. I turned around and went back asking for lots of napkins and another coffee. The owner proclaimed that it wasn’t their ‘fault’ and I had to pay again. I would never have done this if it wasn’t a gift. So, more than $12.00 later and a car stinking of a scent reminiscent of a McRib sandwich, my friend loved her drink and I will boycott JoJack’s. Harris Teeter will be open soon and I can get delicious sandwiches and salad there. And WaWa has pretty decent coffee for a lot less. If my coffee had spilled on the way from the interior counter to a table, would I have had to pay twice?

It was better before. I use to love JoJacks now I just like it. I think it changed when they opened another location and Dan moved to run that location. It’s still pretty good but you can tell the quality of the food is different. I want to love it again – who knows maybe they will read the review and do something about it

2 locations-even better. I love JoJack’s for the excellent service, fresh food, large portions and great coffee. The prices are good because they use only quality products. Now there are two locations-even better. One in the Churchland Shopping center, Portsmouth & one in the New Peninsula Town Center, Hampton. Now I can go to JoJack’s more often.

Luckily the food was good. This place is a little high for what you get (I got the Bordeaux Burger and added avocado) I paid $10 and some change. Got to work and I did not see the avocado on the sandwich so I called and they told me to come ALL the way back there to fix it. I get there and she tells me she is pretty sure she put the avocado on the sandwich. I opened it to show here there was none on the sandwich, she then tole me they put it under the cheese, which is melted to the top bun, so I peel back the melted cheese (who the hell would look under melted cheese) and there were some thin slices of avocado. I wish she had told me this ON THE PHONE before I wasted more gas to get there. That was my first AND last time eating at JoJacks…thankfully the burger was good.
