I agree with Bob Burns. There were in fact real Mexicans working there. And the food was tasty and well priced. The wait staff was very sweet to my daughters too. A decent experience.
Bad food, not homemade. I from Austin, Texas and I have yet to find a good Mexican redtaurant in Sterling. As a matter of fact, I have yet to find a decent restaurant in Sterling. I can out cook all of the restaurants in the area.
Monday Special is a Good Value. The wait staff was very accommodating to our large party that arrived over 45 minutes or so. We were promptly seated and offered drinks and chips. Those were refilled regularly as we waited for the remainder of our party. During that time, we were told of the daily special which was buy 1 Combination platter and get the 2nd one at half-price and also $2 bottled beer. When we decided to order, the food arrived very quickly. I opted for the special and ordered a beef chimichanga, chicken burrito and chicken tamale. The chimichanga was covered in a white cheese sauce that complimented the beef filling quite well. The chicken in the burrito was a bit dry but the dish itself was OK. The tamale was very good – moist chicken and a flavorful corn tamale. For dessert, I opted for the coconut cremosa which is like a flan but in a cheesecake format. Very tasty and surprisingly rich. For 2 people, who had 2 beers, 2 desserts and the special, the total was under $40 – not bad given the quantity and quality of the food!!
I’m a vegetarian, ordered the garden burrito and found a chicken bone in it
A little too expensive for what you get, have had better at the same price. $5.50 plus another $.99 for a drink for a child 10 and under is a pretty steap price for a kids meal. Nice place inside, but should be alittle cheaper.
