This place is a lot of fun to hang out and have a few drinks. The music is great & the scene is fun & lively. I don’t recommend eating upstairs at anytime however. The food is good, but the tapas selection is weak at best. Also, it’s obvious the wait staff are used to a straight bar scene. Our particular server was fine, but the hostess and another server were enough to make me want to leave, even before we ordered.
A great place to hang out with friends. Great to be there at happy hour. A fun lounge with great South American food and hookahs, a great place to hang out with friends. Try sangria but you have to shout to make yourself heard. Suitable for party-goers.
YES! gua-rapo!. I went to gua-rapo one night with a couple girlfriends because we’d be referred there by one of their coworkers and i was VERY impressed! The bartenders were polite and friendly, and the hookah/lounge scene was a lot of fun (this is coming from someone who’s not usually into the whole hookah thing). The place can get packed quickly, but if you get there early enough you can get a comfortable spot and relax before the crowd forms. It’s a very fun place to go if you’re looking for a great meal, yummy drinks, and a good time!
Great for the going out crowd. Gua-Rapo was great! When I go out I never like to try the same thing twice and I found Gua-Rapo to be very unique. The food was great and the huka aspect definately makes this restraunt stand out. It gets crowded and noisy but thats how you know its a great spot! If you go really early the atmosphere is more intimate but my group was going out after so it was a perfect way to start the night. I highly recommend it!
Heavenly Cocktail. It’s easy to say that Guarapo has the best Latin cuisine in all of Arlington. This was my third visit and the quality and service have been excellent each time. I finally ordered a Guarapo cocktail from the drink menu-it was amazing! Thursday nights are my favorite so far, because they feature a live band playing reggae music.
