I'm such a huge Thai fan. But my lunch was so disappointing. Nothing spectacular. The waitress was sweet but she couldn't overcome my lackluster lunch…

Good honest thai food in a great location ( at least for me 🙂 ). Service is quick and efficient. Good size portions. Room is very enjoyable and it has a very nice outside seating area. The sticky rice mango is very close to what you will find in bangkok!
Best Thai I’ve ever had. Delicious food. great menu. great price.
Lemon chicken tasted like it had been marinated in Pledge.
Very poor service….. Avoid at all cost. Food was OK, but not worth the hassle very untrained, incompetent wait staff. Never again!
Spicy Thai in Clarendon. Sawatdee is a rather nice Thai spot located in an awkward spot in the Courthouse area. The dcor is rather forgettable and the booths really uncomfortable (ask for a table), but if you get past these things, you will enjoy a good meal. The satay is moist and the peanut sauce rich and flavorful. Lemongrass soup is a little on the spicy side but delicious and richer than most I have had. Pad Thai was great and the panang was pretty spicy (the two pepper warning on the menu is no lie). Alternatively, the chicken with curry and green beans was spicy but with restraint. With so many good Thai palces all over the city, I don’t know if I would make a special trek for Sawatdee, but if I was in Clarendon or the Courthouse, I would go again.
I have eaten here for years and always enjoy the food. The lunch menu is discounted. My favorite is the yellow curry or Gang Dang. The sauce it rich and creamy and perfectly spiced. For an appetizer try the sun-dried beef for an unusual peppery treat.
Fine Thai Place. Sunday late lunch – only table outside but our service was great. Food is not amazing, but pretty good. Not overly spicey or overly garlicly, but could have been hotter (temp wise) when it came out and cooled quickly.
