Really good Brisket and Jalapeno Sausage. Sauces and sides are good but nothing special. A little pricey but worth it for a special treat. I do highly respect and applaud Mission’s commitment to recognizing our Armed Forces. Everyday at noon – the whole restaurant stops for the Star Spangled Banner. That is reason enough to frequent this restaurant with good brisket being a bonus.
Best BBQ in Roanoke! The brisket is delicious and the mac & cheese is different but tasty! The ribs have Old Bay seasoning, which is odd at first.
Delicious smoked meat such as chicken on the half with phone, baby back ribs brisket sausage turkey pulled pork. Delicious side especially the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is like he was naked at home if you made it well. Highly recommended.
Bad Bob. For those who know their Q. Don’t waste your time or money at this place.Could not believe how many locals had told me how much they like the food here. Also as a combat veteran, I felt exploited when I observed the decor and then went online to the Mission BBQ website. Not a dining experience I care to remember with fondness!
Love it… There’s maybe a few tweaks to the sauce recipes that could be done to improve the wow factor but overall we love it! And I have nothing but respect for the people who started this restaurant chain and their cause. Keep it up, guys! Ooh rah!!!
Second trip. The regular spareribs were excellent. Great atmosphere. Will be a regular from now on.22 Jan, 2015Finally Roanoke has a promising BBQ. Brisket a little too dry.. Might try Texas treatment of wrapping & holding for 6 hours before serving. Baby back ribs ok, but again on dry side. Good Bbq beans & coleslaw. Eith a little attention to these details can be great. Will ck back to see if they get it!
Way too salty. My husband and I had lunch here today. The meats were ok, but they were SO salty it was overwhelming. I felt bloated immediately afterward. The sauce choices were good, and the sides were pretty tasty. It was also a very pricey meal for what you get. We’re not likely to go back.
