Fantastic lunch and service. The soup, pasta, duck, lamb, fish, all were outstanding! And homemade desserts to finish. Also the selection of Virginia wines which is unusual for restaurants in Virginia!
Interesting …. ?. We had a pleasant lunch. The saffron potato soup arrived on the colder side of tepid (a fault that was corrected when we sent it back) and seemed really way way too peppery. Good, but way too peppery). The salmon tacos, we both thought delicious. And perfect. The fried egg sandwich was reasonably good — though we both thought the single slice of bread underpinning the assemblage was waaay too thick, and on top of that, since there was only the one very thick slice of bread, the excellent thinly shaved slices of country ham were a bit lost under a rather salty slice of cheese and then the fried egg on top, so we had to wonder — was it really meant to be a sandwich? — (which might imply two thinner slices of bread). The country ham (exquisite) and the salmon tacos (very interesting and good) linger in the mind. And also — the very, very drinkable coffee, which cheered us up. We truly wished we had room for some dessert — but that would have meant skipping either the delicious salmon tacos or that exquisite, very thinly shaved slices of country ham.
Nice but a little disappointing. Based on the reviews we expected more. One of our dishes was terrible and had to be sent back, one was served cold. The veal chop special was delicious and the service was impeccable. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the coffee served with milk instead of cream. :(. I would try it again, but not before looking at the other restaurants in the block.
Delicious on every visit! I especially loved the salmon! Nice atmosphere.
Very good. Been there a few times. We like to bring friends and family. The food is always good. The wait staff is very nice. Highly recommend.
This has become a new favorite restaurant! The food is better than a vast majority of DC area restaurants charging twice as much. The duck duo is almost a work of art. A very yummy work of art. The staff is willing to answer any and all questions. You can meet the owner any night as master chef or head waiter. He does it all and is passionate about Foti’s. If you are in Culpepper, this place is a Must for a Great dinner.
Great Service!!!. On both recent dining experiences, the service was excellent. Couple that with fine food and atmosphere makes this a restaurant to visit again and again.
