Wide Range of Delicious Dishes. We went for lunch but skipped the buffet and went for their menu which features interesting dishes from all parts of India. We shared the Goat Biryani and the Bengal Platter. The latter contains chicken, vegetables, rice and coconut juice straight from the coconut! The menu says that the goat Biryani is from the owner’s grandmother’s recipe. It did taste authentic. The clientele was a mix of people of Euro origin and well as Asian origin, futher adding to the authticity. If hungary and in the area, we recommend giving it a try.

Enjoy Curry Dishes from around India. What a wonderful surprise to have encountered this bright, clean and festive Indian restaurant that has a menu that tackles dishes originating from all over India. The owner who is originally from Bombay will be expanding his current little gem by expanding next door into somewhat of a show case for Indian. The staff was very efficient and very helpful with my wife and my selection. I recommend that you start with Bhelpuri (street food) and then move to your entree. My wife and I shared Goat Biryani and boneless chicken Shjai Korma. The Korma was in a pool of creamy green sauce infused with finely ground pistachios and cilantro simmering over an open flame along with the chicken cut into kabob sizes. What came along with the meal was a wafer thin bread and three condiments which were very different and flavorful. The Bhellpuri had an interesting combination of what looked like rice crispies and fresh vegetables. The Goat did not have a strong taste and could have been mistaken for lamb. We had a Groupon which did not allow us to sample the weekend buffet. The buffet has off menu items and regular menu items. The restaurants see which off menu items are a hit and if they are they are added to the menu. The buffet is great deal on the during the week and on the weekend as it is less than 12 dollars (week end) as of this posting. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the dining area and bathrooms and decorations of the restaurant. Most Indian restaurants tend to either favor Southern or Northern food regions while Curry Mantra tries to give you samples from around the world and does not skip a beat doing it and it doing it well. I think the owner’s mother is in the kitchen supervising. I’ll be going back as soon as they open their extension in a few weeks.

Disappointing. In short, there are much better Indian restaurants in the area. Don’t waste your money and time on Curry Mantra. The food was nothing more than what you get at any average Indian restaurant. If you are Indian, avoid this place like a bad rash. The manager won’t even acknowledge your presence. I am giving 1 star because our wait staff was nice.

Great food, great service. We ended up at this restaurant because it looked to be the best out of a grouping of ‘ethnic’ restaurants in the plaza Curry Mantra is located in. I ordered the Chicken Balti and my fiance ordered the Chicken Vindaloo. Both were excellent. The Balti was prepared with the perfect blend of spices, in my opinion, and had fresh vegetables to accompany large pieces of high quality chicken. The Vindaloo was spicy, as advertised, and was also made with fresh, delicious ingredients. The service was also excellent. We always had water in our glasses, the server was attentive without being overbearing, and the owner came over when we mentioned we are moving to the area. The owner told us some about his restaurant experience and gave us recommendations for where to live in the area. Both his business and his advice were on point, as we can’t wait to go back for another meal and we found a great apartment based on his recommendation! He mentioned that he will be formally reviewed in the coming week, and my fiance and I agree that if our experience is common, this is a restaurant that will become a favorite of reviewers and area residents.

Very Good. An attentive staff, lots of grand opening specials ( we had a coupon from an online restaurant site ) and amazingly well seasoned and tasty menu made for a very pleasant meal. There’s a small selection of Indian beer which always goes well with a spicy dinner.
