The pub grub is good but their entire menu is overpriced. Great selection of imports on tap (one of the main reasons I go there) and the atmosphere with live music is awesome. I don’t particularly care for their basement venue. It is filled with douchey degenerates and smoke.

Great place!. During a semester abroad at nearby George Mason University this became my favourite restaurant. Pub style food at its finest, great beers and good service.

My wife and I recently visited Ireland in 2010 and tonight we felt like we were back there. Auld Shebeen offers a great selection of authentic beers on tap; a sure sign of a good pub. Also, the food we ordered was @@@on par with what we had in Ireland with an American flare. Reasonable prices with beer around 4-5 dollars and entrees in the mid teens. Well worth it!

Guinness beef stew. Heavy on meat, the stew is the best in the area.

We took our two year old here for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was what we expected from an Irish pub (maybe a little better than expected, actually), but the live music made this place a hit for us! We will definitely be coming back!

The best Shepherd’s Pie I’ve ever had! I also enjoy the live Celtic music.
