I recommend Llajtaymanta Bolivian Restaurant. I had the pleasure of dining at Llajtaymanta with two fellow Bolivians in May of 2008. I had not seen these two high school classmates since October of 1985. I am glad we met at Llajtaymanta. I had pleasant time. I ordered a Silpancho (never had a bad Silpancho). The meal was very good. The ambiance and the service were very similar to what you would get at a small run of the mill restaurant in Cochabamba or Tarata. I also had mote de Habas and chuo (boiled freeze-dryed-potatos). Finally, one of my classmates kindly purchased 6 puca capas to go, which I took home to Michigan for my family’s enjoyment. I recommend Llajtaymanta to Bolivians, to enjoy familiar flavors and tastes. I recommend Llajtaymanta to non-Bolivians, to experience new flavors and tastes. Try any dish, but ask what the main ingredients are. MUST try Salteas if they have them the day of your visit. Take Salteas to go, they freeze and warm-up well. Take Puca Capas to go, they refrigerate and warm-up well the next couple of days. Dress casual. Diego
