What a great choice for stir fry in Herndon. The sauces are amazing. My favorite is the cilantro lime mixed with kung pao. Don’t be shy to taste the sauces and mix them up. Yummy!
It was my first time with Mongolian BBQ, and it was amazing. $18 for a large bowl and $2 for a drink made an alright price for how much you can stack that bowl. Recommend paying for a small bowl and just stacking it high for more bang for your buck. Will definitely go back.
The food is great, or at least if you make it that way since you create it. There are sample spoons to taste the sauces before committing to them. mix and match spices and sauces if you like. Comparable to Genghis Grill in the sense that you serve your bowl with meats, veggies, spices, and pick your sauce and noodle/rice. All is cooked on a round flat top where you can watch. It is different in the sense that it is not full service (no server). You make your own drinks and refills, silverware, etc. You may leave a tip with the person at the front. They do also sell frozen yogurt and a basic variety of alcohol. Management is friendly, and visits you to see how you like your bowl.
This unassuming little restaurant with lots of windows off Centerville Road in Herndon is a hidden gem and a great value. The staff is polite, the service is quick, and since it’s buffet style you will always love every bit of your meal. My favorite part is the array of different sauces (which you are encouraged to sample and mix and match), made fresh on site (Pro tip- mix the Sweet Chili and the Lime Cilantro. Ah-may-zing!) The guys in charge are super sweet and super helpful, and they are running a quality establishment- give them a try!
