Not impressed. Grade: C-On many passes by Open Road, business looked to good to be able to get a table and we always put off our visit until another time. Wish we had this time, too.I didn’t finish my Open Road burger. The top bun had a layer of mayo that appeared to have separated, the bottom bun was saturated when I got it, and the overall effect was greasy. Fries cooked in oil that was too cold were also greasy. Thankfully, a very professional waitress took it off the bill.My wife had an underpowered Margherita pizza. Bland tomato sauce, flavorless basil, and a burnt crust characterized this pie.Open Road’s interior is vaguely motorcycle inspired, but not so much as to be threatening by having actual bikers there. A long, NYC-style mono-bench against which tables were set was upholstered in an asymmetric denim quilt. Huge bars inside and outside the hangar-like room stressed the establishment’s emphasis on moving drinks.Their menu looked a little too ‘everything to everybody’ to be great at any of it.
I was in town for business. The parking is minimal pretty difficult to find a spot. As for the restaurant, it’s clean and good service. Also the burgers are great and their version of buffalo wings are pretty darn good. Last but not least the beer selection is great as well.
