Great little cafe. This small restaurant is easy to miss from the street. But don’t miss it! Phe Xe Lua serves the best Pho in Falls Church, and it has some strong competition in that neighborhood. If you like pho, REAL pho, then you owe it to yourself to try this place. The soup is flavorful, the portions are generous, the options are many.The atmosphere is simple, being neatly decorated with books and paintings. The customers are generally quiet. While not as elegant and festive as Four Sisters a few doors down, if you are serious about food, and serious about pho, Pho Xe Lua is the place to eat.After writing this review I can’t wait to get back home to Falls Church and eat here!

The pho in this place is the best I’ve ever had – and I’m kind of a pho connoisseur.As you first walk in, the wall is covered art collected over the years, including paintings of the owner and his family. These paintings were apparently made for the owner by loyal customers. This art grows on you in time. A short elderly man takes your order and a few minutes later, out comes the food.The pho at this location is amongst the best – if not the very best – that I have ever tasted. The broth is so very savory, the noodles cooked to perfection, and the meat tender and delicious. So many options are available to customize the pho – basil, jalapenos, plum sauce, hot sauce, bean sprouts, and more.I highly recommend this Pho restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious eat!
