Great Shepherds’ Pie. Shepherd’s pie was a featured special recently, and I would ask that it be added to the menu as a regular item. Beef and vegetables in a slightly peppery rich brown gravy baked under a blanket of mashed potatoes and topped with bubbling melted cheddar cheese, it elicited ooh’s and ahh’s from others at my table. It was comfort food at it’s best. Scrumptious! Service was a little spotty on the evening we went (we waited 30 minutes after we finished eating for the waitress to stop by the table, clear the plates and offer a box for left-overs, and then another 20 to get the check). This particular waitress tends to disappear for long periods of time.This has occurred on multiple visits when she was our server, and it has become a running joke between my friend and me. We were not in a hurry, but if we had been it would be very frustrating.
Very Friendly and Accomodating. A bunch of us go to O’Tooles once a month as a get together and watch some soccer. They are very accommodating to us, giving us a separate room and they don’t seem to mind that some bring their children who can be a bit lively. Great staff, decent bar food.
Good Bar. If you want to see some friendly local faces this is a good bar to go to. They have great music and the food is (as expected) bar food…..nothing more nothing less. Perfect for what you are looking for. Good service.
They have absolutely the worst buffalo wings that I have ever tasted. The ranch dressing was so watery that it looked like milk. I will never recommend that place to anyone
Genuine onion rings. Great burgers. And delicious pizza (even the vegetarian). Would feel completely comfortable as a single woman stopping for a meal.
One of My Faves. O’Tooles is close to home, and I have been going there since 1994. They have expanded these past few years. They changed their menu, and they have been trying new things. Music acts are showing up regularly, and it is a fun to be there. Love the waitstaff and the bartenders. The owner is nice and friendly. My experiences are consistently good, and I keep coming back. Glad to support local businesses. 😉
Great crabcakes. I like it, it’s been there a long time but the food is still good and a very friendly place.
