As a former employee of a GAR restaurant, it was nice to visit VA/DC and be taken back to the old days. Service as always was on point and our waiter was both pleasant and efficient. Missed the signature ozzie rolls though and the bread the came with the table was quite stale. My crab cakes were delicious and the men had the rib eye and judging from the way their plated were cleaned, there were no complaints. I wish the short ribs had come in a slightly bigger portion as it was yummy bubut just small in comparison to the other meals. Definitely a winning restaurant.

My boyfriend got the flounder and as good as it was, his cauliflower mash was even better. The service was great. Good wine. We gotta go back and try brunch! The best thing we had was the fried green tomatoes to start. Re. Dic. U. Lous. The calamari was ok (the sauce was so good tho).
