My 88 year old Mother wanted to have Chinese food for dinner and we all decided on Peter Chang’s; my husband and I live in Richmond so we went along with my Mom’s recommendation. From the moment we arrived I knew it wasn’t going to go well. The non chinese waitress was not schooled on the menu and could not describe the types of teas that were available and had to keep referring to the manager. Then all the wait staff would disapear, very strange place, almost creepy. We are originally from New York and have had fantastic Chinese food all our lives! I can’t even describe how terrible the meal was. Nothing…I mean nothing we were served was palatable, from the luke warm tea in plastic tea cups to the main dishes that had no flavor which was nothing like described in their menu! My husband couldn’t even eat his crispy pork belly, he said it tasted old! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!

We have been eating here since they opened two years ago. I don’t care for Chinese food, but they serve something out of the box. We have always had very good food but the service was unpredictable. After one ownership change things improved and tonight we had the best meal ever. The Tea Smoked Duck with Deep Fried Onions was totally fantastic. My husband had Jumbo Scallops on a Hot Iron Grill also fantastic. Our server rocked. We will be back soon.
Psufoodie. Had heard a lot about the place and it was all and more that expected. This is a great change from the same old, same old Chinese take-out found everywhere across the US. There are numerous dishes that can be found on a typical take-out menu, which someday I will try. Likely those will be a step-up but this is a place to experience something new and different. The meal was great and service good. Will go back many times to try all the different dishes

Superior food and service. Just a GREAT place for Chinese – outstanding menu and impeccable service – absolutely the BEST!!!
The food is good but the beverage list is very limited. Also, the floor is dangerously slippery, especially after a rain. Beware!
